65g peanuts
210g self raising flour

Set oven to 1800C
Prepare 2 trays.
Melt butter. 2 minutes. Speed 1
Add sugar and egg.Speed 3/4. 20 seconds
Add sultanas and peanuts. Reverse, speed 1, 5 seconds.
Add flour.Reverse, speed 2, 15 seconds.
Put onto trays leaving space for spreading. Cook about 12-15 minutes. Leave on tray to cool.

This recipe is based loosely on one from www.bestrecipes.com.au
I will reduce the amount of sugar next time as I think it will be better.

troupie -  At first I thought they were very similar to one I already make very often but then on reading the recipe properly and then making them they turn out quite different even though most of the ingredients are similar. I melted the butter and sugar together at 60o and also added the sultanas and peanuts after the flour and cooked them for almost 20 minutes due to my oven. They turned out just like the picture and taste is great; 10/10. They will be made often.

Have just made for the challenge. At first I thought they were very similar to one I already make very often but then on reading the recipe properly and then making them they turn out quite different even though most of the ingredients are similar. Thanks to this challenge we now have a new biscuit on the 'make often' list. I melted the butter and sugar together at 60deg and also added the sultanas and peanuts after the flour and cooked them for almost 20 minutes due to my oven. They turned out just like the picture and taste is great; 10 our of 10 in this house.
