I know how you feel, I have had hay fever for weeks and weeks, it's part of living in Perth at the moment, my Dr said its the worst year he has seen for Hay fever. I have been taking Polaramine at night that is helping a bit.

It is that awful time of the year. I take an anti-histamine too, but wish there was a natural solution that actually worked. I have tried 3 rather expensive natural ones that haven't worked at all. When I get really bad with it I find that laying on the couch for 5 minutes with a cold, wet face washer over my face gives me some relief.

Hally I really sympathise with you. My hay fever makes me ever so grumpy. This time of the year I use rhinocort nasal spray and if it gets bad I have a polaramine at night and telfast during the day. The rhinocort is a preventative and takes a while to work. It can be bought over the counter. I find when I have been away from Perth I always get a bad attack when I return.

Yes its shocking, been in bed most if the day, it zaps all my energy too.
I had to cancel my demo tonight
so no 1/2 price bowl & blades.
I have taken natural nasal spray, 1 anti histamine at 3 am and another just now, plus sudafed!!!
Its a real waste f time.

Oh Hally, what a pity your hay fever has caused you to miss out on the half price bowl offer. Sending hugs and kisses & hope you are feeling better very soon.

I think i will buy some rhinocourt.
Cooke, do you use thus daily?
My natural ne doesnt seem to do anything.
I hate pudding all the rubbish into my body, but cant stand the hayfever.
Why cant they make a natural one that works.

Yes Hally I use the rhinocourt daily. Anything is worse than a severe attack of hay fever.

Have you read up on the internet Hally - you can sometimes pick up some information which is useful there. Looks to me as if you have to be prepared for the onset of the hayfever season after reading some of these articles.
This
one for example. And
this
, and
one more
for good luck

I have fairly severe allergies to eucalyptus - especially at this time of the year when the oil on the leaves dries and the winds blow it around, many grasses and ornamental flowers . They are rare up where I am but when I drive down to Santa Clarita I have a bad time.
The only thing that works consistently for me is Zyrtec - the generic is now available and I'm pretty sure it is available in Australia as a friend, who has the same allergy wrote that she began using it last April and it worked wonders.
My doctor prescribed it for me before it was available over the counter and it has the advantage of not causing sleepiness as do so many antihistamines and it doesn't lose its effectiveness over time as was a problem with other antihistamines I used.
Before getting the Zyrtec some four years ago, this was the worst time of the year for me, even here in the desert. I had a constantly stuffy or runny nose and would awaken each morning with a sinus headache because of these allergies. I take a single tablet in the morning and have none of the symptoms that used to plague me.
