Triplets aren't uncommon for dairy goats.  Many have twins. My doe came from a set of triplet and the buck/father a quad.

I'm only down $10. Next year when I organise the office sweep we are going to pay up to 4th place instead of 3rd. Two years in a row my horse has come 4th  :D :D :D :D :D :D

A small win on a local race but down overall.

Taxis in perth, SHOCKING, took me 2 hours to get a cab fron ascot to home, then 30 min drive, no taxis in rank.

I put my hand up for the girls to come over on Melbourne Cup. Four can't come, so we are down to six or seven. They all said "get it catered for", but after paying $40 a head last year for crapola (not incl drinks) I'm thinking it wouldn't be too hard to knock up something. There were about 10 people so the catering company earnt $400 which is fair enough when people are happy to pay it, but cos i make my own food i thought it wasnt that special. Keep in mind I work (from home), so can fit in a couple of things the day before but basically want it to be easy as its an early lunch start especially when you have to buzz around and do bit of housework on top of getting ready. This is a rough menu, and probably do able :

Smoked salmon dip / crackers.  (From here - Make Monday)
Spicy pumpkin dip / Turkish bread (From here - make Monday)
Olives (bought)

Curried pumpkin and lentil soup.  (From here -   Make Sunday)
Home made mini buns.  (Made prior & defrosted on the day)

The Tarts ( From here - make Monday))
Beetroot salad. (Made on the day)
Big mixed salad. (Some one can bring this)

Pavlova (some one can bring this)
Coffee/tea & more wine

I need your HONEST opinion. Is this enough? Are the days that I've specified that I'm going to do things right. Would you add anything else?

Honest opinion CP, I would like some fresh seafood. We usually have some prawns and a nice seafood sauce. I'd also go for a second dessert - macerated strawberries and cointrea jelly or something.

Looks good C P.  Think I would drop the soup  and add fruit salad.  Make as much as you can and set table the day before.  Have fun.
