Cheesy Puffs from Brooke my Little Thermomix

Name of Recipe: Cheesy Puffs
(Converted from Vegie Smugglers recipe)

Number of People:  Makes 16

Ingredients:

120g milk
1 egg
½ tsp smoked paprika
1 zucchini - chopped into chunks
2 spring onions - chopped into chunks
130g cheddar cheese
170g organic unbleached self-raising flour

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 190C. Line a baking tray.

1.  Place zucchini, spring onions and cheese into the TMX bowl.  Chop on Speed 8 for 4-5 seconds.
2.  Add the milk, egg & paprika.  Mix on Speed 4 for 2-3 seconds, on reverse  .
3.  Add the flour and mix on Speed 4 for a further 2-3 seconds, on reverse  .

Dollop out portions onto the baking tray and bake for 20-25 minutes until beautifully golden brown and a delightful cheesy smell emanates from your oven.

Store in the fridge in an airtight container for several days.

Tips/hints from members

JuliaC83 - I had no spring onions so used half a brown onion instead.

Denzelmum - Used macaroon tin for this, perfect!

They are nicest straight out of the oven newbiemixer. I'm sure you could prepare the mixture in advance and just cook them when you needed them.

Made this with DD, we had fun using piping bag.  Much smaller size, made a bite size for kids club Christmas party, kids and grown up enjoyed this.  Especially DS, come for second, third, fourth, fifth... ;D

I let my DS (4yrs) make these today with supervision and they are all gone.  Took about 5 minutes for them to vanish  :o

I think I might go plant a few zuchinni plants ;)

Kids are scoffing these down as I type! Very similar to a muffin recipe I used to make pre-TMX, but without the hassle of greasing muffin tins and washing up. So quick and tasty!
