My turn for some help please
«

Managed to get some cheap cream today so made 2 x 300 mls into butter. No problems there but now the machine won't work
What I have on the screen is every symbol, all the 8's, plus the
. I tried turning it off and leaving it for a while then read the manual and my problem doesn't really get covered in the error symbols. I tried No. 2 - turning the dial from the open lid symbol to the closed lid symbol but nothing happened except some clicking.
I did notice water leaking out from under the seal at the back during the rinsing process of the butter making - do you think water may have got into it. What to do next. I really needed to start on my party food for Saturday and tomorrow I most definitely need to start. I'm happy to leave it overnight to perhaps dry out but is it going to take longer do you think. Should I turn it upside down or what? Not panicking yet.

Yes Jen but I don't want to have another go just yet so thought I'd catch up on the forum for a while to amuse myself.

Oh no, Judy! Can't offer much help, I'm afraid, but I did read somewhere about someone turning the machine on it's side on a towel overnight . . . consultants out there, what do you think?

I've emailed my consultant Hally so am happy to wait until tomorrow for a solution or just a natural solution by leaving it to dry out on it's own accord. I could borrow DD's I guess but a lot of the things I am making haven't even been converted for the TMX yet, I was going to do it as I went. If the worst comes to the worst, I will just have to do it as per the recipe and keep cursing Foodland for putting that cream out so cheap. They rarely have it out so how's my luck - today of all days.

Judy, that is shocking. These things seem to happen at the wrong time. Sounds like water in where it shouldn't be. Can't help as I don't know enough. I am sitting in the dark typing this as we have been hit by a storm and have been without power since 7 pm. Small problem compared to yours. Borrow DD1 machine as it will be quicker to make the things you have planned. Let us know how you go, best of luck.

Oh that's no good Judy, all I can suggest is leave till morning and try again, if no good get repaired asap it's not worth mucking around. When my TM mucked up I got very good service and the repair man rang me a couple of weeks back to see if everything was alright.

Oh no Judy, I hope it is fine in the morning. Didn't know anything about a party as am just catching up now, but doesn't it always happen when you can least afford it.
BTW I love your new avatar.
Hugs from me too. x

Oh Chookie, there are a few problems around tonight - you were right when you told me you they had predicted a storm. We had rain predicted but it went off somewhere else! I'm not stressed at all, have rung DD and asked if I could go there tomorrow and pinch her TMX whilst she is at work, no problems.
I am hoping it will sort itself overnight Yvette - I'm probably more worried about not being able to make my daiquiris and the Blushing Buck Gin cocktail than the food which I know I can do without the TMX.
Thanks Denise, just having 3 of DH's cousins, his Aunty, sister and BIL in for lunch on Saturday.

I think I might be back in business. Thought I'd check it again and the dial seems to be working OK. Off to make my Apricot & Cherry Balls, thanks everyone. Hopefully it is raring to go.
