I made this the other night, but it didn't really float my boat  :-\
I thought it looked pretty ugly, especially using chicken thighs....so I didn't bother with a pic.

I made this dish a few nights ago and my DH loved it. I tweaked the recipe a little...used three whole chillies with seeds intact (we like spicy foods), replaced basil with Thai Basil, added a bit of mint because I had some, also added the cornflour at the end of cooking as suggested by Judy to thicken the sauce. A very aromatic/fragrant dish. Definitely a restaurant quality dish and will definitely be making it again.

Wow, 3 chillies & seeds - you do like spicy food.  That would blow my head off  ;D  Glad you liked it though.

Yes Judy, we do like our food with flavour. They were the large red chillies though, not birds eye ones so not as hot. Great recipe so thanks very much for posting.

I made this tonight with a couple tweaks for TC.
Really a combination of ingredients from here and method from the
Chicken and Cashews with Coconut Satay Sauce and Coconut Rice (with photo)http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=5335.0
I steamed the chicken with some veg with some sweet chili sauce and Kecap Manis poured over. (because TC doesn't have the reverse function)
Cooked rice in the basket and the sauce in the jug.
Left out the coriander cos we both hate it.

It was heavenly..

I made the other night and the kids and DH all wanted seconds, definitely a hit.  I thought it was slightly too sweet, probably why the kids loved it!  I steamed some veggies on the stove whilst it cooked and didn't need to thicken the sauce, just stirred it all together at the end.  This will be a regular request I am sure.

Made this tonight, followed the recipe exactly but just added some Caramelised Garlic and Umami pastes for a little bit of extra flavour - it was deemed a hit.  Half a chili gave some nice flavour without blowing your head off, just right!

Wow, it's been ages since I've posted but thought I'd pop on and say that this dish was a huge hit with my family - so easy to make and light enough to serve as a summer curry. I accidentally added the cornflour paste with the rest of the coconut milk and the consistency was lovely.........although.......
I made it the following day to take to a party and doubled the sauce in the TM and then transferred to a pot when adding the chicken. This time I thought I should add the cornflour at the end however the sauce curdled and ended up looking very unappetising. I obviously didn't cook it at a low enough temperature but was curious to know whether this would have happened in the TM (without the cornflour).
If i was serving it to my clan I wouldn't have fretted however serving it to others caused me to think hard...... ??? :-))
TM to the rescue again!!!!! Seived out all the chicken and most of the herbs and blitzed the sauce on 9 for 1 min and PRESTO, lovely smooth sauce.
This is on my list of favourites and I think I might add the cornflour mix with the rest of the coconut milk in future  ;D ;D
Thanks for a lovely recipe!!!!

This is one scrum-diddly-umptious meal.

Such gorgeous flavors, nice quick and easy.

Thanks to both Judy and Nico

I only used 2/3 of a chilli, but happy to report my 6 yo ate the chicken whilst not drenched in sauce it was still spicy enough that she took a sip of water after each mouthful LOL!

I don't think I've made this, must try it.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.
