I miss my Thermie...
« on: November 26, 2011, 02:24:16 pm »
No, my TMX is not sick or being fixed.  It's sitting in my kitchen and I do not have time to use it right now.  My husband is still using it every day for basic bits and bobs but nothing like what I want to use it for!

Sigh... One down side to working full time... I cannot wait till the school holidays so I can play again!!!

What is on your cooking list for this festive season?
Mine is as follows so far:

-Biscuits-Almond bickies mainly
-fruit mince pies

So what are you plans?

I also work full time and found the thermie is my saviour as I can peropare yummy healthy meals in no time at all. I spend most Sundays cooking lunch box treats for my DS and also making bread.

Exercise is a dirty word... Every time I hear it, I wash my mouth out with chocolate

I work full time and don't get much time for play either. I menu plan my week so that each night I am at least cooking something different so I get to try out new stuff all the time. On the weekends I usually bake something for work on Monday and quite often I make pastes, sauces, desserts, etc for during the week. If I don't do it this way I would never get to try anything. I'm waiting for the holidays (I will only have 1 week off) to try out some new recipes and some old as well. The kids have requested bagels as I haven't made these since holidays mid year. Thinking of making some Limoncello as well.

Mmm Limoncello. Yum!

My hubby gives a decent work out but not to its full potential.  I know he's still learning how to use it, but it is frustrating a little bit when I see him do something that the TMX could have done in a shorter period of time.  Oh well...

Now reports are finished with, I might have a bit more time to play in the evenings!

Back to the drawing board with my meal plans.
