Best Ever Poached Eggs

The beauty of recipes being bumped, this has sparked my interest as well Denise. I used to be able to poach an egg perfectly in the microwave but lately it's a bit hit and miss.

I never had any luck in the microwave, Judy, no matter what I did they always exploded.  The TMX does them perfectly.  They do take longer if the eggs are cold as opposed to closer to room temperature.  Also, boiling water is faster than hot or cold water.

Because we have quite a few new members I thought I would bump this again because it is so good.  I have been meaning to make poached eggs for weeks now but couldn't find the recipe.  The eggs are so good and it is so easy to make them this way.  I used room temperature eggs and they came out perfectly at 4 minutes on speed 3 - I didn't bother with reverse.

Thanks Marina. I dislike egg white so don’t really eat poached eggs. It’s something I have never eaten.

That's a shame, Cookie, but I can't blame you for avoiding poached eggs if you dislike the white.  How do you go with scrambled eggs or omelets?

I thoroughly enjoy them Marina. As a kid I would trade with my brother and now DH trades with me. 😀😀
