Suggestions and complaints

Hi . . more a query than anything . . . the time on my computer reads now 4.41PM . . .  and the time on the user info window of the forum shows 5.41 AM - I'm in Sydney . . are we really all that far apart?   I used to wonder at the various forum contributors who seemed to be suffering from acute cases of insomnia!! (like me!!)

Right now it is Monday, 28 November, 1:05 a.m. where I am (same as Los Angeles) while it is 9:05 a.m. in London and I think in Sydney it is 8:05 p.m.

just check out a worldclock on the net... but europe is generally 8 to 10 hours behind oz depending on where and what season.. longest in your summer and our winter...its almost 1pm in France at the moment!  I know the states is even further behind oz time as they are generally one of the last ones to celebrate new years but the different times zones in the states does my head in lol!

I took this shot of the Earth Desk satellite feed a few minutes ago.

It's 11 a.m. here in California, 7 p.m. in London (Monday) and in Melbourne it is 6 a.m. tomorrow morning.

That's true, Wonder, I always forget that anything I put on the forum can be ready by anyone anywhere in the world - it's an amazing thing.

Andie, what's the URL for Earth Desk?  You always post wonderful images off that site.

I love it.  The only thing I change is  from the little symbol in the header, I click and select "Centering"  then Equatorial  Sunrise, Noon or Sunset. 
I keep it on Equirectangle projection  but some of the other projections are interesting.

I would love to see a separate thread for pasta dishes/meals!
Also is there any way you can save recipes like you can on the Australian forum? That would be soooooooo great! I find it really hard trying to copy and paste on the iPad, and then sometimes I forget where the recipe came from when I want to share something on my blog

Dee Cat, MM has informed us there are changes in the air - just what they will be no-one knows. It is supposed to happen within the next month or so so let's just wait and see what they have in mind now that the forum is so large. I just hope it doesn't change that much that it doesn't look like our forum anymore.

DeeCat I just copy and paste to Evernote. That tells you where you got the recipe etc.

I wasn't sure where to ask this qn, but my friends has tried 5 times to join the forum and is not getting a reply back. I know it was on my third go that I got a reply back and accepted. Can anyone explain why this much be or what she needs to do? She doesn't seem to be able to contact anyone either?
