Hello Patricia, I am also a mum who avoids artificial colours and perservatives. The thermomix is a great tool as I can make the most delicious goodies for my family without all the nasties.

Take care

Hi
My children are 5, 3 and 6mths. First has behavioural problems and seems to react to some additives. Currently snacks here are pretty boring as I don't buy many processed snacks. Can't wait til I have saved enough for my thermomix!

Patricia,

My DS has behavioural problems when he eats the wrong food. I love that he can take healthy and yummy food to school. Made a carrot cake into large cup cakes for this weeks treat. Last week it was banana bread.

Most kids in his class take proessed, highly artificial food to school but they all say "I wish my mum would make me some nice treats like yours". Just goes to show that home made is always a winner.

How very true DizzyGirl. Last weekend DD decided she wanted smoked salmon and cream cheese for lunch on Saturday. She asked if we had any rolls or bagels in the freezer, my reply was no as we had eaten the last a few nights ago. I suggested she buy a roll from Baker's Delight... her response was 'no, I don't like bought anymore." I took it as a compliment. She ended up buying her salmon and cheese and we found an old bagel hidden in the back of the freezeer. It came up well with a spray of water and the microwave.
When her house is built it looks like I will get to keep up her supply of bread products as well.

Thats so funny Cookie1, but then again if I had tasted your home amde rolls, I wouldn't like the bought ones either. I haven't made any bread apart from savoury scrolls, perhaps its time to give it a try. I need some confidence in the area  :-))

Dizzygirl give it a go. Perhaps start with Isi's normal bread or her rolls. Perhaps something of Chookie's. Just be patient and let it rise.
