Finally took the plunge!
« on: December 02, 2011, 07:59:04 pm »
Hello everyone,

I'm very glad to be posting here, because it means that 6 long years after I first saw a demo I finally have a Thermomix of my very own:)

I think it was the lurking on this forum for a while that finally made me do it, so thank you everyone!  No kids yet, so I couldn't use a busy mum who needs it excuse with my partner, I just put my foot down :P

Have had my magic machine for 2 months now, I think I'm now getting pretty comfortable with it and the way recipes can be converted.

I'm really interested in making more things from scratch and avoiding "packets" and all the additives and chemicals.  I would say I want to cook "healthier", but I'm feeling the very strong pull of delicious baked goods, custards and sauces, so that one may be a little difficult for a while yet  ;D

I even have my very first question about sugar syrup, off to post that one now!

Hi DK, welcome to the forum.  I know I couldn't have waited 6 years after seeing a TMX demo, well done you for hanging in there and finally getting the best helper in your kitchen that you are ever likely to have. Enjoy.
