Nicky are there any allergies that need to be considered? (e.g. our school is totally nut free)

My kids have been taking bread sticks to their class lunches. I use a brioche dough (the sweeter bread dough with an egg in it), allow it to prove once, then roll the dough out flat, then slice thin pieces which I then roll and bake on a tray for about 10 minutes until brown and hard. Some of these I leave plain or have sprinkled with sesame seeds. Others I half dip in melted chocolate and roll in hundreds and thousands. My DS10 likes the plain option, because so many of the other plates of food are all sweets, so he feels like he is getting something reasonably healthy with breadsticks.
These are fabulous to have in the freezer as well for lunchbox food, especially if your child doesn't like sandwiches.
By the way, if you do want to make these, it is easier to divide your brioche dough into thirds, and work with a third at a time.

thanks everyone, faffa, we dont have allergies to worry about in our class, even nuts are fine, as the food stays in the classroom and no-one in our room has an allergy.
i have some nice little cookie cutters, so i am thinking of making some cheesy bikkies in the shape of a snowman and sprading them with cream cheese and putting carrots, seeds or sultanas etc for eyes, nose etc
we are in the middle of decorating our ikea gingerbread house, and have taken a break for lunch while we wait for the glue to set, it looks a bit wonky, but hopefully it will stay put long enough to get the decs on!
my 4 year old is actually doing a great job of piping the icing along the edges. and licking the excess icing, think she will be sick before she gets to eat it! i got her to separate all the smarties into colours to keep her occupied while i was making the icing, and cant believe that she didnt even eat one!
will take pics of finished house, and kindy plate.

I've been amazed at how little ones often tuck into crudites and a dip.
I hope the gingerbread house turns out well. I'm attempting it this weekend. I plan to make the walls, roof etc on Friday.
