hello from Melbourne1
« on: December 12, 2011, 07:15:16 am »
Just want to say a big "Thank you "for all of you who took the time to respond to my post!
I have to say it was a really good feeling that ppl actually cared. I'd like to make a comment about my latest try and error dish, which turned out to be quite nice for the 3rd time I made it. First 2 times the meal ended up in my compost bin,it was that bad.But I can only blame myself for it. I love growing my own vegetables and the  lettuce I've used in the dish  wasn't the one the recipe asked for. How hard can it be to cook lettuce soup? Unfortunately if you are not using butter lettuce it taste pretty bad. I made some changes to the recipe and added some garlic and ginger to it and to reduce the cooking time which was 15 minutes according to the recipe, I semi cooked the potatoes before added to the lettuce. This way the lettuce doesn't loose any nutritional value while cooking. Cooking time was reduced to 7 minutes only . I love altering recipes (love adding extra things to it, mainly garlic and chilly).Since I have the Thmix enjoy a delicious soup every day. And if someone is interested I tell how I dropped a dress size in 2 weeks(just ask me) .By the way since I've been cooking every day lost interest in junk food. I can walk in and out of shopping centres without even thinking of getting a burger. Usually I'm  in hurry to get home and cook something I like very much or simply to try a new recipe. the other week woke up 5 in the morning could not go back to sleep so got up and cooked a Thai pumpkin soup (it was a winner at work). Happy cooking guys!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you are really hooked on the TMX like the rest of us Dragonfly.  You will be down another dress size before you know it.

Hello Judy! Thank  you for your message. No, not planning to loose any more weight in the next couple of weeks. Hoping to be size 14 by the end of January. Have you lost any weight since you have the Thmix?

Oh dear, Judy - it's trying all those great new recipes for us that's doing it.

I've not gained or lost as I eat pretty well anyway. If I lived in the city, I would buy junk food because I love it! Since we don't have it very often, it's a treat for us.

So glad you're enjoying your TMX dragonfly. Look forward to some new and varied recipes from you sometime in the future!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

The Thai pumpkin soup is a winner with me. Can't say I've lost any weight.
