Hello from Melbourne

Hi everyone,
I am a mum of 1 with another on the way from Melbourne, Australia and after having a home demo last week I ordered my Thermomix yesterday!
I can't wait to get started and am particularly looking forward to using it for baby food in a few months time. No more splattered vegetables all over the kitchen as I try to break them down with a hand blender.
I look forward to getting to know you all as my journey with Thermomix begins!

Another member from Melbourne, that's great! Welcome to the forum. I guess, because of the time of year, you've got a bit of a wait for your TMX, but it will be worth it - the anticipation just adds to the excitement- you're going to love using it and cooking all the great recipes we gave on this forum.

Thanks for the welcome everyone!
As it happens my consultant told me that she may have it to me by Friday or Saturday as there was someone going out to the aiport yesterday to pick up an order and I may have just scraped in for an extra one.
I don't particularly need it by Christmas but I was expecting that I would have to wait till early to mid January so it will be a nice surprise if I can manage to get it by the weekend. That way I can have a couple of extra weeks to play with my new toy!

Hi and welcome Asha. I do hope your machine arrives by Friday. You will have heaps of fun with it over the Christmas break.

Hi Asha and welcome to the forum. I wish I had my TMX way back when I had babies. When I think of the time I spent making vegetables and fruit to freeze for them and how little time it would take now, I cringe.

Hi Asha, a bit welcome to the forum. If you do get yours before Christmas I'm sure you will make the most of it over the break. Have fun and thanks for joining us.

Thankyou again all.
Found out yesterday that I will actually be getting my TM tomorrow night as my consultant goes away after Christmas and really wants me to have it before then. I am very impressed that it will only have taken four days from the time I placed the order!
My daughter and I were planning on making homemade Shortbread to put out for Santa on Saturday night so it looks like this may be the first recipe we try. Am looking forward to seeing how it goes!
