great thread - I havent made too many mains but did like the Beef Strogonoff - although it had too much water for me so I have made a note to reduce it.

Also the Beef Madras was good - with a bit of tweaking

Mine is Quirky Jo's lentil bolognaise. A regular in this house, but must have the sundried tomatoes in it. http://quirkycooking.blogspot.com/2009/01/lentil-bolognese.html

I'd rather cook than clean!

Great thread Montoya, I'm new to TMX as well so this is giving me some good ideas. I'm struggling to find main meals that the kids love (6 & 8yo) but I can recommend the beef stroganoff from the EDC, definitely worth trying.

Hard to pick a favourite but can't go past quirky jo's chicken and cashews and Chelsea's garlic prawn risotto.

The link to this recipe doesn't work for me. Am I doing something stupid?

Which recipe are you after p9?

My favourite TMX recipe is Rainbow's Easy Carbonara. I make this a million different ways - sometimes with mushrooms, sometimes with sundried tomatoes and salami, sometimes with chicken, it's just delicious and so easy. I don't always use cream, sometimes I use Skinny Tinny (Light Evaporated Milk).
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

p9 - the link takes you to the second page of the recipe... if you click on [1] at the top left, you'll find the recipe.

Hope this helps

Thanks everyone. Go the recipe now. If I had a brain, I'd be dangerous, wouldn't I?
