Good old Flylady aye CP.  Great effort on such a hot day.  I did the sink and the splashback but that's all I'm doing for the day, it is supposed to be a holiday afterall  ;)  My sink looks amazing, must pass this tip onto others. Thanks again Meagan.

Haha I read the post on cleaning the sink this morning and decided that I would do mine today! Well, the kids came in when I was halfway through and stood staring at me... I must have looked like a woman possessed! Sweat dripping as it was damn hot today, using a bit of elbow grease. But I finished it and I must admit, having a clean sink does make you feel good. A b it like when I clean out the pantry ;)

It's taken all week, but I've finally cleaned the oven using only bi carb, vinegar, salt and lemon juice.  It now matches my shiny sink.  Next on the hit list, clean out kitchen cupboards.

Can you please share with us the combinations/amounts of those oven cleaning ingredients keiramax.  I know someone who has just spent hours cleaning her oven and although it is a little late for her now, it would be a worthwhile exercise to write this method down for next time.

;) ;) :-* :-* to that person, she will know who I mean.

I have a very clean sink too now lol. This cleaning is catching on I do believe. Then I got into the girls room and gave that a good clean and moved their room around. Next to tackle the boys room (sigh....what a job )

:) I did have a cleaning lady, untill the middle of last year, even though I worked from home. (it was great)

Since September last year, I now work full time, in our shop, and I have to clean at home too.
I am so lucky my Husband helps me heaps. He sweeps, mops, tidies up what ever needs doing when I don't have time.
( our joke is the cleaning fairys been) which is him.
generally I stay home Saturdays and clean, do the grocery shop on Sundays.

I must check out flylady again.

Thanks, Robyn :)

No real recipe, I just put the bi carb into a flour shaker and sprinkled on the surfaces, and put the vinegar into a spray bottle and sprayed until the bi carb formed - then wiped off.

For the tough stuff I made a paste of table salt and lemon juice and used the lemon halves to scrub.

Plus lots of elbow grease.

Meagan, the link to the sink cleaning says to use baking powder, can you use bi-carb instead?

Thanks for the oven cleaner keiramax, mine is pretty clean as I never cook meat in it but I will write it out and keep it in a safe place.

Too hot to clean here. That is my excuse and I plan to stick to it. ;)

I obviously didn't read it right because I used bi-carb....but it worked great!!!!!
I have been getting a little inspired and organized thanks to flylady. Still not keeping it totally together, but its a step up from where I was at before!! ;D

I think I've got the cleaning bug too. I downloaded home routine and I'm going to try and stick to it! My sink is still clean, that's a miracle in itself ;)

Red Kell, I'm sure either bi-carb or baking soda works well.
Hools003, I can't believe how many times a day I wipe that darn sink to keep it dry and shiny. My sink has never had so much attention. :D :D

OMG girls, what have you done to me  :D I have no DS this morning and I am cleaning and decluttering. Haven't done sink because I think I would be afraid to use it again, but the house is looking great.

I need to do some cooking today but now I don't want to make mess.
