5 in 1 multicooker

I love book depository. I had planned on purchasing the Suzanne Gibbs one from fishpond but had never used them before and there were a lot of bad reviews on the internet about them. Glad I stuck with book depository, they were only $2 more expensive and was here within a week. Hopefully the Womens Weekly one will arrive today.  After last nights curry and rice we are completely sold on the 5 in 1 and pressure cooking. The kids are joking that the TMX must be jealous

I was totally new to pressure cookers when I got my 5 in 1, I bought a book called something like "Miss Vicki's Big book of pressure cooking recipes" she has a helpful web site too. Its quite good and has a big table in the front with times etc for most foods that I find great when trying to convert some of my other recipes. It's "basic" type cooking but a great starter book, it has helped me out allot....I think I got it from the book depository.

Been too busy lately with DGS to get on here.
My 5 in 1 arrived on Monday.  Just too late for the Mother's Day to me gift, but DH and DGS made a big thing of presenting it to me Monday night.
Already I love it.
Have slow cooked, pressure cooked and normal cooked in it so far   
Haven't done rice as I am using the rice cooker until it falls off the twig completely.
6 in 1 sounds interesting, But I bought a deep fryer recently for DGS and DH's donuts..   And I think I would prefer that as a separate item.  Bit less fuss with filling and empying the oil.
I have been scouring the op shops for some good pressure cooker recipe books.
So many people on this forum have one now I think we may need a new forum for the 5 in 1 cooker tips and hints soon.

Besides the WW pressure cooker book and the  Suzanne Gibbs one, there's also another one that I have; "Pressure Cooker, fast, easy, delcious"  by Rachael Lane.  It doesnt'have a lot of photos, but all the recipes I've made so far have worked.

I make heaps in my thermomix, but that and the 5 in 1 together is fantastic.

A second jug is really handy...but not essential

Made chicken stock in the 5in 1 using the pressure cooker function today. It was really easy

What recipe did you use Meagan? That's the part I miss out on by not having a Thermomix yet, I haven't been able to make my own stock. I hadn't thought of using my pressure cooker.

I would definitely go for the 5 in 1, We are using ours so much more than we anticipated and it is a perfect combination with the TMX. Working full time I don't cook as much as a lot of people on here and while a second bowl would be handy it's not something I feel I need.

  Thanx ladies - but guess what...!! My DDDDDDDDDH just saw these replys and guess what he said.......?? "Why don't you wait til the bowl set is on a half price special and get BOTH?"  !!! I said "good idea, do you mean it?" and his reply... "yep, you deserve it - tell you what, I'll buy you the 5-in-1 for mother's day."  WOW, am I spoilt or what??!!!!!!
Now I need to find out where to buy them in Tas!!

What a wonderful Hubby and I bet you do deserve it. I purchased my 5 in 1 from kitchenware direct as have a few others. Free postage Australia wide.
