Does Anyone in Sydney want a Spare Thermomix?
« on: January 19, 2012, 11:23:05 am »
:-)) ha ha thought that would grab your attention  :D DD21 is moving from Perth on Sunday to study at Sydney uni. She is looking for a place to rent (and is taking her TM with her). If anyone hears or knows of some affordable accommodation accessible to the uni can you please PM me. To start with she can stay with a friend sleeping on the sofa for a couple of weeks while she finds somewhere. I don't know Sydney at all, so I don't know the areas that are close by.

Very clever CreamPuff.

I don't know of any accommodation but the suburbs surrounding Sydney uni are newtown, Chippendale, glebe, camperdown - any of the inner city suburbs should give her easy access to the campus.

thanks girls  :D apparently it costs about $400 pw to live on campus cos it includes meals as well. that would be great if DH could check, as it would put my mind at ease

thanks goldfish  :-* :-* :-* :-* she has just heard back from your son, and has arranged to see him on Tuesday. (Isn't it amazing what our little Thermies are capable of?)
cookie she's studying law there, and she's just finished economics here. CP90 says I have to look after her now cos she'll be the one who decides on my retirement home  ;) will miss having her around for sure. CP88 has already started crying when she thinks about it as they are very close (best friends)

It's lovely to hear they are so close CP - Sydney is so far from your home but I'm sure you will arrange some visits from time to time.

My oldest DS has just got himself an apprentiship which is in the same town we live in so I guess there is not much chance of him leaving home in any hurry.

Hope all goes well for her CP.
