faster brown rice method
« on: January 20, 2012, 02:20:40 am »
Just wondering if I use boiling water out of the kettle, will this make the brown rice cook  faster? I'm not always organised enough to soak overnight. Curious as to why all TMX recipes are for cold water....

I cook my 'fluffy Rice' in boiling water.  This is in the bowl , not the basket.

Hi jodierj, welcome to the forum.  I start off with boiling water wherever I can to save time ie steaming vegies, meat or cooking pasta or white rice (not a lover of brown rice so not sure about your question in that regard).
