Hello from far North-West Queensland
« on: January 26, 2012, 10:13:45 pm »
Hello I am Elle and have owned my TM for two and a half years. After a long time stalking the forum, I thought I would come and introduce myself and thank everyone for their wonderful recipes and support of each other.  It is so nice to read the supportive comments.
My TM is in constant use, I eat gluten free and reduced sugar, no additives, preservatives etc. Due to a few lots of surgery for me my  DH has also become very proficient in using the TM. We have been married over 30 years and he very rarely cooked.
Now he does a great job. ;D
(I have never written on a forum before, so please excuse any mistakes!)

Hello Elle, welcome to the forum after all this time.  You will enjoy being an active member now that you've joined us - you obviously know how the forum works so should feel quite at home.  Wonderful to see a DH stepping up to the plate and taking over the kitchen duties when you were unable to do so - to share the load at times like that is great.

Hi Elle, I too had never joined a forum before and I find it rather addictive, popping on each day to see what is going on, there's nothing on TV and who needs it when you can lerk around here. ;D

Welcome Elle. This forum was a first for lots of  members, now we all love to keep track of what new recipes are here. I would say lots of us have become friends via this forum.

Thanks for the welcome  :)
I just love browsing this forum, so its great to be able to contibute. I have gained so much knowledge from browsing, and have cooked so many different recipes.
Of course, I've had to buy so many books  and kitchen euipment that I obviously can't live without!  (That I didn't know about). Waiting impatiently for Alyce's book to arrive.

Hi again Elle, are you missing all that rain that Qld is coping, I have a relatives at Townsville, Coolum Beach and Landsborough, last two said it is very soggy and wet, my garden would love a good soak at the moment.

My garden is so dry here in tassie it looks horrible. Supposed to rain tomorrow, hopefully it's a decent rain but nothing like what QLD has had.

Hi Brenda, we missed most of the rain - only 44 mm. Many people in Queensland have been so affected by the rain, it is often heart breaking to see.  I grew up on a property and we planned for rain each year to isolate us - think its time again for people to plan what to do in the event of rain.
