Too many recipes, cook books etc

I dont know what to cook. So much I want to try, I dont know where to start.
Everytime I look at a book or a recipe, yes thats dinner, then I see something else.
Teninas & Alyces book are fighting with each other.
Maybe alternate nights.
We are all so spoilt with these recipes.

lol I know the feeling and its about to get hot again ... which eliminates a whole heap in this house as all anyone wants is meat and salad when it is hot ... not good for one wanting to COOK

I find when the temperature goes up I love experimenting with marinades and sauces for the bbq.

Hally, i know what you mean about too many cookbooks and recipes!
If there is a disease that causes one to buy cookbooks I think I have it.. I really haven't used a lot of the books as much as I thought I would. (But will never tell DH that,).
Have been reading Quick Fix in the Thermomix and I'll be cooking from it for the next few weeks
As for the heat it is always 35+ , so thank God for airconditioning.

Ahhhh don't let the temperatures fool you, 28c here is like low to mid 30s most other places, my friend lives in WA but had to move to Tassie for a couple of years, she has since moved back to WA but is now on a quest educating 'mainlanders' about our temperatures, LOL!
BUT that being said, today is very mild if not a little chilly and we certainly do not have the humidity of some other states, thankfully, or I would probably die

Hally I know your problem. I'm in the process of menu planning for next week and it is so hard. I've decided that I will take some from each book and the others are on next week's list. I'm also into the other bread book I made and have some Vienna bread from that rising at the moment and am making raspberry and peach jelly from my 'Wobblie' book I bought.

Thanks Hally, think i have the flu( do you know if its going around). Lucky my babies are with GM.
I find it hard knowing where to start ith menu planning, a vego daughter and a 2 year old complicate things. I think we need to do some huge cook ups like you and freeze. Our diet hasnt been too good since the babies arrived ( along with sleep deprivation could be reaon for illness!)
Am going to try harder, its not the cooking its the shopping and having stuff in the house, must get more organised.
Hope to see you on the 16th atvtomato lake

I spend hours on Sunday nights meal planning. I go through the cook books, then check out
the reviews and tweaks on the forum. There are so many things I want to try. On some sort of level it is relaxing.

I enjoy it too. I sit down on a Tuesday afternoon with 2or 3 books by me and select things I want to try that week. I try to use different books each week. I then add a quiche of some sort and a roast and maybe a pasta and my week is done.
