Hi from a very enthusiastic newbie
« on: February 16, 2012, 08:24:39 am »
Hi Everyone

After many many months of deliberation and assessing the cost/benefit of the thermomix vs thermochef, I finally succumbed and purchased the thermomix. I'm very excited and can't wait for it to arrive. However, hubby was dead against the purchase so I need to wow him with the first dish/meal I cook using the thermomix. I would like to cook a complete meal (using Varoma too) that is totally delicious. As such, any and all suggestions welcome. We like spicy foods and he actually cooks very good Indian curries. Thanks, mep

Hi mep, welcome to the forum.  You will not regret buying the TMX.  Have you got the Indian Cookbook, if not this recipe for Butter Chicken and the tikka paste recipe has been posted on our forum so perhaps DH might like that as his first meal.  It is not a varoma meal but if you check out our all-in-one meals on the Home page, you may find something you fancy there.  The bangers & mash is particularly good.  I hope you don't have to wait too long for your delivery demo.

Congratulations on your decision MEP.  :)

Moroccan Chicken Curry is a great dish which also utilises the Varoma and steaming basket for layered cooking. The spiced rice is just delish!

Hi MEP. Welcome to the forum. I also really like the Indian cook book. My DH wasn't keen on the idea of me purchasing the TMX but soon changed his tune! He now even agrees that if anything happened to it, we would replace it! Such a turn around.
