Hi From Eureka, Melbourne.

Hi,
I have been reading this forum for over a month now and thought it time I introduced myself.
I am retired, live in Melbourne city and have had my TM for nearly a month.
I bought it sight unseen after seeing it on TV and then reading about it online.
Best decision I ever made (though feel a bit guilty about the Vitamix and Magimix now sitting in the cupboard).
I am not a good cook although I always did it as I am very interested in nutrition and health.
I use the TM several times a day (green smoothies, grinding LSA, making raw cakes etc) but
have also tried lots of recipes from this site, the EDC, other internet sites ( I particularly like
Quirky Jo's recipes). I have made things I never imagined I could ever make!
I cook our meal in it every day.
Have tried a few bread recipes but haven't really liked them as I don't like yeast. Finally tried
Quirky Jo's quick, yeast free spelt bread and love it.
So needless to say - I am in love with my TM.
Anne.

Welcome, Anne. I'm also probably a bit like you, always cooked because I wanted to eat and wasn't heavily into the ready-made stuff available in the supermarkets, but now I am cooking all sorts of things and loving it.
Glad that you are finding some recipes that work for you - there are no end of ideas, tweaks and thoughts on the forum. Enjoy your TMX life!
PS. I suspect I must live quite near you - I'm in Collingwood.

Welcome to the forum Anne, Until you actually own a Tmx you really don't believe the enjoyment that you can get from cooking in it.

Hi Anne, welcome to the forum. Sounds like you have got it made now and it can only get better from here. You may class yourself as a not so good cook but isn't it amazing the things we can churn out in the Thermomix - it soon makes us into a very good cook and the praises of friends and family encourage us to do more and more.

Hi Anne and welcome to the forum, I'm glad to hear that you brought your TM after seeing it advertised on TV. We were all wondering how much this would increase sales of the Thermomix. I think your the first one to join the forum who has said that it was the tv program that encouraged you to buy a TM.
Bet your glad you seen the program now.
Had you heard of the TM before seeing it on TV?

I hadn't really heard of the TM before I saw it on TV.
I was once looking at green smoothie recipes and the person said you could make them in a Vitamix
or Blentec but she made them in her Thermomix. I didn't click the link as I had just bought
a new Vitamix after giving my 13 year old one to my daughter. I am sure if I had clicked I would have been interested.
But the TV item (on Today Tonight) immediately captured my interest and these forums did the rest.
I had a file of recipes to try before I had even seen a TM.

Hi Swanscook and welcome. I work next door to you in the IBM building - Southgate must be a great place to live, it's a wonder you ever eat at home!
And Cuilidh - I live just up the road from you in Clifton Hill.
