Thanks Tassie

I have just returned from my 2 weeks holiday in Tassie. For those of you who live there, you have such a beautiful back yard. Although, I must say, after doing most of the driving, I now feel that I am qualified to become a rally driver, not so much for the speed but for the twisting roads. And for the scenery WOW but so much road kill
(not from us). Two weeks just went by so quickly, another week would have been just great and given us a bit more time to spend here and there to explore more. The convict built bridge etc were just beautiful, locally grown fruit, veg, cheese so fresh & tasty. Mona was amazing, Gordon River Cruise, Tahune air walk, Port Arthur etc etc etc just awesome. Many pictures taken and fond memories stored, and all the very friendly people we met along the way both travelling and living there. Also a big thank you to the considerate drivers who let you in when you put your blinker on (maybe that was because we were driving a Britz van and they knew we didn't know where we were going!!!) A fantastic holiday, and to anyone who hasn't been there, start saving your pennies. Cheers Monica

Great to hear you enjoyed your holiday PP, sounds like you got to see some wonderful places.
Maybe you should do Targa Tasmania now with your rally driving experience lol

We love Tassie. Hacen't been back for a while though. I agree about the driving. We West
Aussies are not used to twisty roads and the hills. New Zealand is much the same. The locals always seem to be able to drive those roads much better than us.

Yes would love to go back again. It's funny, as the locals don't tell you Kms they tell you time taken, and after driving the roads I understand why, 50km can take soooooo long to drive. Jeni, Mona is a must see. esp if you are into the arts, so many talented artists around the word, and what they can do with objects, one example were car tyres carved to look like filigree and painted silver, you wanted to touch to see if they were actually tyres, but its hands off, of course.
