New to the forum

Yesterday marked my one year anniversary of owning a Thermomix.  Sometimes I wonder how I used to live without it, hopefully I will never have to find out!  My husband surprised me with it for my birthday and we've been having fun ever since.  Best thing is that it has also excited him to try various things in the kitchen too, meaning I'm not always the one cooking!  I even have a friend who comes over regularly to make very imaginative sorbets in the Thermomix.

Well I guess that means HAPPY BIRTHDAY for yesterday smholmes.
So if you got a TM last year for your birthday, what did he buy you this year?

Hope you had a wonderful day. :)

Welcome to the forum smholmes. What a lovely birthday gift and great that Hubby is in the kitchen cooking as well.
As you've had your thermomix for a year now there might be some recipes you would like to share.

Not such an elaborate gift this year, a gift card so I can go on a shopping spree.  Last year was the year of big birthday spending for us since we now have an 18 month old girl and I've gone to part-time work.  I must say I felt the pressure since our birthdays are a week apart!

I'm not too adventurous in the kitchen.  I tend to stick to recipes and then maybe tweak them a bit.  Have tried converting one or two favourite recipes with some success.  Have visited the forum once or twice but had forgotten about it until I met someone at Tenina's cooking class who was talking about it.

Looking forward to being more involved!
