Smoked salmon dip
« on: May 03, 2009, 02:45:11 am »

Smoked salmon dip

Serves lots of people

250g smoked salmon
3/4 cup sour cream
250g cream cheese
1 teaspoon horseradish
1 shallot or small piece of onion
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Grinding of black pepper

Chop shallot or onion on 6 for a couple of seconds.  Add salmon, chop on 4-5 until in flaky pieces.  Add cheese, sour cream, salt, lemon juice ,pepper and horseradish.  Blend on 4 until just mixed.  Garnish with anything you like - paprika, chopped parsley or chives.

I have a few people coming for dinner and I made this dip in less than a minute.

Thanks Paul, great combination.  Just made some fresh horseradish into grated h/r in vinegar before leaving, so something to try when we return

This dip is VERY nice, and extremely more-ish! Very quick and easy too.

Hi, do you think dill would be as nice as horseradish.  I love dill but not sure about horseradish, thanks, Natalia
