Hi All!

Hi All,
My husband and I moved from Australia to Hong Kong 2 years ago and due to the extremely small kitchen sizes here, when my mother first heard of the thermomix she thought it would be a good addition!
With very little bench space and even less cupboard space, it is unsurprising why most people here order in or eat out. As we are both quite health conscious, this lifestyle wore thin! So at the beginning of the year, my mother bought us a thermomix and brought it up in her suitcase (as you can't buy them here!).
Since then, we have so enjoyed cooking in it and I am constantly trying new things out, including attempting to adapt my ordinary recipes to work in the Thermomix (with some success and some terrible failures!).
I look forward to chatting to everyone and sharing tips and recipes!
All the best,
Tess

Hi and welcome Tess, I bet there are not many TMs in HonkKong lol. You might be the very only one. Sounds like a TM was a great investment for you.
So glad you could join us here.

Hi Tess, welcome to the forum. TMX is a great little machine so is the perfect answer for your small kitchen area. I couldn't imagine having to eat out for almost every meal and love home cooked meals with just the odd meal out - except when on holidays, that's different. Help yourself to our recipes and when you get around to converting some local recipes perhaps you could share them with us.

Hi Tess, welcome.
A Thermomix sounds like the ideal solution to the small kitchen problem.

Welcome to the forum, Tess. We lived in HKG for four years (before hand-over) so I know exactly what you mean by a small kitchen! Whereabouts do you live? We were in a very small village on Lantau (1 km away from the nearest road so it was walk or cycle everywhere for us) and loved it there. I don't think I could have survived had we lived in the busy city areas - much as I loved Wanchai, Mongkok, Central, etc.
Anyway, enjoy your TMX and the variety it will offer you.
