Hi Michelle, welcome to the forum from one who only cooks for 2 most of the time. From one extreme to the other although we do have a few members cooking for themselves only.

Here's a thread that may help.

Hello and welcome to the forum Michelle. With a family of 7 you will find the TMX a great help.
Over the Christmas period I had family stay and was cooking for 6-8 adults.
Chicken Jambayala, achookwomans method for cooking rice (makes loads) and the lentil bolognese also makes enough if served with pasta. Happy thermomixing.

A second bowl is the best thing DG, I'm so glad I got two bowls. Makes life so much easier. I could easily use 3 bowls (but I won't get another one)

Hi Peppersmum, welcome to the forum.

There are many people here to help you cooking large quantities of food. As far as the grainy soup is concerned I cook mine until the vegies are very soft and blend them twice. I have had my TM for nearly 3 years now and with experience I learned that one doesn't have to follow everything that the recipe says but rather use them (recipes) as a guide. Enjoy your TM.

Hi Peppersmum, welcome to the forum.
I cook large batches of food, then freeze portions.

The Thermosever is a great help too.

Thanks, my husband often laughs at me as I am such a square when it comes to following recipes.  He is a better solo cook than me, but I am learning slowly that I can do things differently if a recipe is not working ;)

Faffa  Wow 3 bowls, amazing!!!

Is there somewhere on this forum that updates which gifts are going each month for demo's?

Usually someone will mention it as they find out what the bonus is for that month.

Welcome, Michelle.
I cook for 5 people, but even I am longing for a second bowl.....
I also do alot of meals for others (friends with new babys, sicknesses etc) - I LOVE cooking and TM makes it SO easy!!!!
I'm glad these machines are made to work, mine certainly has had a work out!!
Look forward to seeing some "large family" recipes!!!!!! :D

Welcome to the forum and I cook for 4-5 people on a regular basis. I have to say that I love having 2 bowls and would easily buy 1 or possibly even 2 more if I had the chance. You can never have enough bowls with a TM! Enjoy your cooking though.
