Look on google earth, village is called Guadalmar, in Malaga, and I live right to the right of the village facing out to sea, by the big field (where the kids get their quad out) just one hotel and very quiet. Probably the only part left of Malaga that is quiet! Can you find it?

I gave my Mum a small jar of this goo and you will be pleased to know Bron, that it has passed the test with her.  I will now do her a whole batch for herself. She loves to wash and does so at every opportunity - the sun only has to come out and she goes around the house looking for things to wash in her tiny automatic machine.

She washes and irons in the same day, hand washes her smalls every night and sweeps paths daily too - puts me to shame.  At 86 she is a little beauty ;D ;D

Like lots of the little old dears here.  Remember one of the threads about gnocchi or ravioli/tortellini - you need somebody like that to give the job to make them.  They go all day with nimble fingers (Idle hands are the devil's helper !!)

JD, Pleased to hear that she likes the goo too! ;D

Almost Thermomixer. My street is Hesperides, nearer, on the beach, where all the cars are parked. On the beach is a little Hotel, and I live 2nd line, just behind the hotel. Can you see the apartment block in a 'n' shape with a small pool in the middle. Get sand in my shoes every morning walking to the car!!! How lovely is that! I really do appreciate it, as I am a London chick, but my kids don't really realise how lucky they are, they seem to think that its normal to live right on the sea, and go to sleep to the sound of the sea.

How about - http://maps.google.com.au/maps?hl=en&q=Guadalmar,++Malaga&ie=UTF8&split=0&gl=au&ei=M8YRSpzmF5DesgaF9JSZCA&t=h&ll=36.663171,-4.460103&spn=0.001011,0.001717&z=19  on the corner of Calles Moby Dick - muy espanol.

Now I'm really jealous - tell your children that you'll send them to London if they're bad - have they been???  They would probably think it's great - and it is for a holiday.  Take them in winter, when the days are short and gloomy, the weather is attrocious and .... ooops - sorry CarolineW, forget you are listening.  ;) ;)

Ohhhhh, should not have looked. Wow! You lucky thing, Amanda.

In other news I have been waiting and waiting for a certain container to become free in our house so I can make this goo, and my husband had the opportunity to use it up last night and forgot :(

Thanks Thermomixer for all that work on where Bron lives - I wasn't having any luck finding it myself.  The yellow van finished it off nicely thanks Bron.  Do you ever go 'home' to England to visit relatives, holidays etc or is it just so damn good where you are that you don't need a holiday :D :D :D

Made Mum's batch of washing detergent yesterday and forgot to reset the scales when I added the first lot of liquid.  Ended up guessing the amount and the final quantity came right up to the top of the bowl - oops, not supposed to go above the mark :o :o  It did appear to be runnier than the first lot but I thought that wouldn't be a problem, may have been easier to pour into the machine but next day, it had set just like the first lot of goo so no harm done.  I would like to give my DD some for her front loader so have you guys worked out yet just how much to put in that type of machine.
