I was driving up to a big threeday trade show to work on the Thermomix stall and had a sinking feeling that I'd left the bag of food on the kitchen floor. Big deep breath!
Pulled into popular servo, searched car - no supplies. Fortunately could purchase a bit of fruit and veg. So did so and went on my way in the rain.
Few towns along the highway came to a fork in the road.
Moseyed around - found a certain street - parked car to search fir number but didn't need it as I was right beside a beautiful new sign advertising picture framing.
Felt awful, knowing she was sick and so were her little ones, but all the same I thought I could ask the favour I need to save face tomorrow.
Please Dede, I'm Cecilia, may I have a tbsp of veg stock concentrate?
Thanks to my saviour! I owe you one.
I expect when your vege stock concentrate goes into the pumpkin soup, it will bring the whole stall luck!
There are many tales of forum friends helping each other out and this has been one of the non-cyber variety.
You're the best, Dede.

Oh thanks Cecilia (Ros)
I hope you have a great 3 days at Agfest. I'm just so glad I could help you out.
Was lovely to meet another forum member and actually put a face to the name. From one end of the state to the other
Now I must make a new batch of stock (incase anyone else needs some unexpectedly )

That's absolutely fine Cecilia, I'm just glad I could help (it's not something that you can get anywhere) you would have to knock on maybe 200 (or more) doors before you found someone who had some.

I'm not usually to far away, although I was just about to go to the shop to grab some butter-menthols, lemonade and yogurt for the kids with sore throats.

What a great story. I wonder if there are any other forums like this where two members, who have never met and who live a long way apart, can suddenly arrive unannounced on the other's doorstep and immediately be given help and assistance without any questions asked or any feelings of "I'm doing you a huge favour ... now you owe me BIG TIME!".
No wonder we all love this forum this really shows how we are all more than willing to help each other out in any way we can.
Hope everthing now goes smoothly at Agfest, Cecilia and that you and the family are beginning to get better Dede.

Thanks guys. (I would do the same for all of you)
Actually when Cecilia arrived I assumed she was a lady here to pick up a frame I had finished. And she caught me in my dressing gown (how embarrassing )

Love this . . . kind of warm and fuzzy feeling you get from living in closeknit community with good neighbours that you can pop in to at any time for that proverbial cup of sugar!! We had that years ago, but now all the neighbours (including us!) have fled to different areas and for different reasons . .it's just not the same . . .
A lovely story . . .
Good luck at the Agfest, Cecilia! And dede, hope you and the family are all better very soon. If I were a thousand or so K's further south I'd pop you in a few gallons of some good chicken soup!!
Be safe and well, the two of you!!
