Hello from the sunny Pilbara WA
« on: May 03, 2012, 09:32:06 am »
Hi everyone, I'm Mel and I live in the Pilbara region of WA.  I bought a second-hand thermomix three weeks ago and have been having fun trying it out.

Hi Mel, welcome to the forum.  If there's anything you need to know about your machine, just ask and very soon you will get an answer.  How old is your machine and why, oh why did the previous owner sell it  ???  Thanks for joining us, have fun with the machine and the forum.

Wow lucky you. What are you doing in the Pilbara kiwimel?

Hubby and I work in one of the iron ore mines, 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off so I have lots of time to play with the Thermomix lol.

How old is your machine and why, oh why did the previous owner sell it  ???

It is about 2 1/2 years old and was owned by an older couple who used it, they told me, half a dozen or so times.  Their kitchen was very small and they had to haul it out of the cupboard every time they wanted to use it.  I got it for a little over half the price of a new one :)

It is still getting to around 30 during the day here.  I hear it is snowing on the Victorian Alps.  I prefer cold weather, coming from NZ originally of course lol.

I have been lurking around, looking at all the recipes while awaiting the MM's approval to join the forum.

Hi again Mel it sounds like a great buy, never put it in the cupboard, keep it really handy on the bench and if you can get some lemons try the homemade lemonade it is really refreshing.

Hi Mel, welcome to the forum.

You will love using your TM and it's great you bought it such a good price.

I'm envious you're living in such warm weather. It is freezing down in Tassie.

Have have fun. :)
