I will certainly be trying this one. DH loves stir fried cabbage.  I have always fried mine in a little bit of butter with some onion and bacon and a bit of black pepper.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Thank you for this recipe. Made it last night, it was really delicious.  Will do the cabbage this way from now on. Might add curry paste next time for variety

Thanks Kay. don't you love a nice veggie recipe - this one fits the bill and so cheap to make too which is a bonus.

Using this recipe as a base and wanting to clear out my crisper I made this and it was delicious.

Added 65g sliced celery with the garlic and used peanut oil/sauteed 3 mins/varoma/rev/sp 1 then added the carrot, spring onion, cabbage and sauteed 10 mins/varoma/rev/sp 1.

Added 5 small broccoli florets, 16 raw prawns, 1 tblspn black bean sauce (you could add more), 75g hot water mixed with 1/2 tsp chicken stock powder and sauteed 5 mins/varoma/rev/sp 1.

Added 1 tblspn cornflour mixed with 2 tblspns water and a splash of soy sauce to thicken.  Cooked a further minute.

It made 2 serves and could be stretched further with the addition of noodles or rice.
You could use chicken instead of prawns.

Thanks BZB, not a patch on your Asian meals but I just love these simple ingredient stir fries.

Simple is good, Judy. Especially if the food is tasty :)

I've been steaming my veg since I started cooking rice regularly in the TM. Even easier than stir fries. Chop, steam and drizzle with soya sauce, white pepper and garlic oil. Done.

Made this last night to go with our whiting & it was lovely, very easy to make.  I used JD times and made up the cabbage component with bok choy & cabbage.

What a coincidence Kerry, just came on to say I made this for my lunch today and saw your posting.  I added a few glugs of black bean sauce today with some cubes of chicken from some croquette rolls I had in the freezer. Delicious. A nice big serving for 1 hungry person. This is just a great base for so many ideas.
