Just got my TM... should I sell my Kenwood Chef???

Hi everyone
I'm a new and very proud owner of a TM  I wanted to get some advice... I've already re-homed my bread maker and liquidiser and wanted to know your thoughts about my Kenwood Chef... will I ever use it again?  Will the TM be able to handle making a larger cake batter?  The Kenwood Chef is great but no point in hanging on to it if I won't ever use it again...  I also have a stick blender... I suppose no use in keeping that??
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Lots of people keep their mix masters I had a kitchen aid and kept mine.

Yes, keep it.
I still have my kitchen aid, and use it for making bigger cakes, meringues ect.

I kept mine for 6 months to see how often I needed it. In the end I sold it as it didn't come out of the cupboard during that time. I felt better for giving it a fair chance. I have a stick blender too which rarely gets used, however it doesn't take up much space but again I would give it 6 months.

I've had my TMX for approx 6 months now and use it for most things but I have kept my Kenwood Chef as this is my 2nd favourite appliance, TMX being my favourite of course. I have used it twice in the last 6 months for larger cakes and to make pavlovas and sponge cakes as I have more success in the kenwood with pavs and sponges than the TMX.
I would suggest to keep it as you dont get that much for the Kenwood when you sell them 2nd hand compared to what you pay for them.

I gave mine away, but twice I have thought I would use it, three days ago, for a sponge but it did turn out OK in the TMX, gave away the rice cooker too, but kept the bread maker use that all the time.  Never use the stick blender so I suppose that could go.  Good advice is to put a time limit on them and see if they do get used.

Yes to buy a Kenwood new is expensive and I won't get much for it if I sell. Great advice to hang on to it for the bigger cakes etc... I've given my bread maker away to a friend, hope the TM can handle my bread making needs. I guess time will tell.

TQTB, the TMX makes lovely bread dough, I just kept my breadmaker because my oven is so slow, and I love the set and forget until it is ready.

Some people like to keep their breadmakers just for the baking function so they're not heating up kitchens in Summer.

I've kept my Kitchen Aid, I wouldn't part with it. But, I have shifted it to the spare room as I just don't ever use it except to churn ice cream in summertime.

I kept my big  kenwood as I make large batches of bread and although achookwoman is right when she says I can make consecutive batches I use a method called autolyse whereby the dough is kneaded and waits 15 mins before fat and salt is added. I prefer to stil
 Be able to make big batches of bread this way too.
Plus my demonstrator said she could never so egg whites well in  . I make a lot of whisked sponges with no fat and am lucky  I have room for both.
Plus it has a food processor on top for slicing veg. We make a lot of potato/onion bake and therm does not make thin slices of potato.

I also still use my stick blender for Yorkshire pudding etc as it saves washing up.

Plus the kenwood is quite new. My ma gave it to me, after I blew up the last eBay kenwood purchase ! It was 1980smodel and lasted 3 yrs of abuse from me.
