Hello!

Hi there
I've been browsing this website for quite a long time now, along with the recipe community forum in Australia, especially when I'm searching for a particular recipe TM style. It's a great resource. It was really helpful when I was researching which book to choose when I won May's 'recipe of the month' in the UK Thermomix newsletter. 'Meat on the Menu' is a definite winner. I'm loving this book, so I have the forum members to thank!
My husband has Coeliac Disease, so the Thermomix has proved to be invaluable member of our family and was given to us as an extremely generous gift by my sister-in-law when we moved from Australia to England two years ago. I've never looked back and am experimenting more and more these days.
In fact, I love it so much that I decided I needed to spread the Thermomix message and so set about looking into becoming a demonstrator. I have just passed my 'Food Passport' for food handling and health & safety, so am about to embark on the first of my training days next week. I have a couple of demos booked for the next month, with another at a mini Coeliac food fair in September, but am finding it hard to even get family and friends to host demos. Any tips would be appreciated for those of you who are already demonstrators! Or if you know of anybody in Staffordshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire or Shropshire who would be interested in booking a demo, please let me know!
In the meantime, thanks again for your recipes and tips. Garlic soup is on the menu today for my daughter who has just begun her SATS and has started with a runny nose and cough!

Welcome Redwood, glad you could join us, are you Aussie born? I went to three demo's before I bought, loved the thought of food, so maybe you could suggest to your friends to ask a few of their friends over for a light lunch which will be cooked in a thermomix instead of actually saying come to a demo about the thermomix. Hope you do will.

Hi redwood. How about you invite the replies over for dinner and give them a surprise demo. Tell them you need to tryout your skills. Tell them to bring wine!

Thank you all for your support!
The demonstrating has been going well. I even started a Thermomix Facebook blog and again have been getting lots of support and likes.
The Thermomix community is just fabulous, isn't it?
