Not at all MM it is YOU that have allowed us to have a voice. I know we sometimes  overstep the line but you are very tolerant and allow all of us to be who we are , which is a  Thermomix loving  community.

I love that you allow discussion and expression of interest in other machines such as the ThermoChefs, Bellinis, HotMixPro  and any others. That  comparison is what makes us love our machines all the more whatever they be.

I love that you allow us  a lot of stuff that has nothing to do with Thermomix and  know that is what makes us a community.

I love that you have chosen our Moderators so  well.  I hope they get a big bonus this year as they are very BUSY.  Good one eh?

I love  that we know so little about you and why you started this forum and please never tell.

Wanna come to our own ThermoFest in August? Or are you already booked in?

MM, please do come to our retreat in WA - we'd all love to meet you.  On second thoughts perhaps not a good idea as you may not enjoy being smothered in hugs and kisses from all of us grateful females (and maybe even from the guys too)  ;D

One day I will make it to Australia.... Don't know when, but I will do the grand tour :-)  I really cannot wait.

I agree - great forum with brilliant help and kind and thoughtful people. The only thing that ever bothers me is when the talented clever women on this site thank their  'DH's or marvel at their kindness  >:( for 'allowing' them to get a thermomix/second bowl/recipe book. Come on girls - the 50's are a long time ago!

bickie- totally agree! If DHs are so demanding about what their wives can purchase etc, tell them to start rolling up their sleeves and cook! My DH wouldn't dare tell me- he might complain about the growing mass of cookbooks that I have but he has never stopped me from buying them. Same goes for the extra bowl set and other TM paraphenalia that I have bought over the last few years. He might have the occasional whinge but he definitely enjoys eating what I have cooked in the TM and he is finally starting to get interested in using it himself- that is, to make more than mashed potato and smoothies.

Bickie  if the truth be told some of our  DH's  might  not be so D but  talented and clever women have learned how to get what they want. If letting  men think they are in "control"  is one of them  I applaud them.  We don't always have to  be confrontational  to stand up for ourselves.  A $2000 spend or even a $500 spend out of the budget  may be major to some families and shoud be a shared decision. A cookbook not so much.

As for my own not always D  but long term H he would never say no to me not because he is a pain in the ass but that he respects and trusts my decisions  even if he does not always know about them ? LOL! You have to pick your battles.

And back to the 50"s ? I think not . My mother was one of the strongest women I know . Women  of the 50' held the families together during the second world war emerging independent, capable and forward thinking woman raising daughters to be the same and sons to respect  that .

Clever women get what they want because they are ........clever. ;D ;D
