Questions? Technical Issues? The Survival Guide / thermy is not happy ;-(
« on: September 29, 2011, 08:36:36 am »
hello,
I am looking for some advice re my thermy (about 2 months old) I dry roasted some quinoa and went on to cook it in the basket. BUT it is now making this high pitched noise. I cleaned out the jug a couple of times to make sure I could see nothing to upset it! ... but it is still making the noise. Still functioning, but extra noisey! Should I contact my consultant or will it sort itself!! HElP PLEASE!!

I was really interested in this question, I have found the rainbow thing happening on the base of my jug, (only a couple of months old) and even though I have been careful to wash it properly I was very worried that I had done something wrong and damaged it!! So apparently the rainbow look is nothing to worry about! Phew!! thanks

Hi, I have made up a batch of yoghurt but it wont set after almost 5 hours in the thermosaver. Does anyone have any suggestions as to whether I can save it and fix it, or what I could try next time to make sure it doesnt happen. Thanking you

Conversion went well. I kneaded it for about 4-5 mins before rising. In the future, I will wait till later in kneading process to add fruit. Next time I make one, I will post it!! kids devoured it before it was cold! great simple recipe though! will post soon!

Chit Chat / bread recipe adjustment question!!
« on: August 31, 2011, 02:23:20 am »
Hi everyone, I am wanting to adjust a recipe for a fruit bread for use in the TM. My question is in regard to kneeding time. The recipe instructs to kneed with a dough hook for 10-12 minutes. Does anyone have any thoughts as to whether I should keep with the original recipe suggestion or does it need less time in Thermy? Thanking you!

Thankyou all for your welcomes!

Had my Hermy nearly three weeks! Initially I was impressed at the time saving and dishes savings (in my family of 3 ds plus husband). Also loved being able to do so much with raw and basic ingredients, without the packaging, preservatives or any other crap. I loved that it made it so easy to include nutricous additions to meals (eg nuts. extra veg- very handy with picky eaters) and that I could create wealth of fabulous meals with only the one machine. The price, yeah it a bit of a sting, but I think (hope) it will pay for itself before very long. In the meantime I have found a new love!!

I think you could try drying out a strip of the outer skin of lemon/orange in the oven on a low temp for a while it might grate better! the amount you would normal add straight to the TM when grating fresh, maybe a little extra! Good luck!
