Questions? Technical Issues? The Survival Guide / discolored thermomat
« on: April 10, 2013, 02:49:53 pm »
Hi,

My not very old thermomat has some brown marks on it (mainly from when stuff burnt etc) - is there  a way to clean it off?

Thanks!

Yep and it said not to preheat. I didn't but even without that it shouldn't still be raw 30 minutes later. So I am taking it back to them tonight. And it said it should take 6-8 mins to do a pizza.

ok i already gave up on it. it is going back to them. it says in the instructiosn it should take 6-8 mins to cook a pizza. i don't know if mine is just a dodgy one but 30 mins later still not cooked so i took the pizza off and put it in the oven. will be getting the black one instead.

I ended up getting the coles one and am making pizza right now. Is it normal for it to take a while? Or do you preheat the stone first? It is my first time making pizzas in a longggggg time.

Thanks for the recipe :) Made it tonight and was yum! :) Prawns came out perfect too. I hate overcooked prawns!

Thanks :) I remembered I had verjuice and used that. But good to know when I might not have that at home.

I made the chicken stock paste and then made the creamy garlic prawn risotto. yum!

The pink aprons I think are only around in Feb (though I could be wrong).

The pink bag is the incentive for the customers who buy a thermomix in February or for those who already have a TM and hold a demo they can buy it for $40 but if someone from your demo purchases it you get it for free.

Luckily my DH eats everything! lol. so I cook from everywhere. In fact he doesn't ask for much Lebanese food and probably eats more Pakistani because he likes spices (Lebanese food has a few spices but very different to Pakistani/Indian). But in general we're pretty similar in enjoying eating from a variety of cultures so I don't have to worry too much as long as it tastes good. My kids have been exposed to it all from young as well so luckily they aren't too fussy either which makes life a lot easier.

I am in the process of converting recipes so will post once I am sure of them :)

Thankyou for the well wishes! :) Am looking forward to it.

Hi everyone,

My name is Fatima and I'm a mum of 3 beautiful bubs - 5 year old DD, 3 year old DD and 8 month old DS :) My eldest is starting prep this year so it feels like wow where did the time go? Live in the north of Melbourne. Just became a Thermomix consultant :) Finished my training today and got my first demo next week! I am of Pakistani background and my husband is Lebanese and I love to cook from everywhere in the world so I love trying new things! I have a lovely group leader - Anita - and saw a new area when I went for training Cherokee which I thought was beautiful! I need to move out of the suburbs!

Anyways I've greatly benefited from the forum and looking forward to learning heaps more and also contributing where I can.

Fatima

Hi,

I'm new to the world of jarring things - does anyone know where is the best place to get jars? and is there any other equipment I need for it? anything I should avoid?

Thanks!
