In the supermarket aisle where all the soaps are I found a Scholl electronic foot file. Its shape is similar to a razor however it has a rolling sandpaper that just sands away the dead skin on the foot. My feet are now as smooth as a baby's bottom and no longer embarrasing.
Sounds fab CP, must look out for that!

She is gorgeous Jess and is sure to keep you on your toes.  Do many caravan parks allow pets these days?
Yes Judy, as long as you have your dog under control, it is the norm, except national parks. So many of us travel with our pets now.

Get your mammograms ladies. Make it a priority. Cost you nothing and takes 15 minutes at most. No excuses.

Gert
Yes Gert, can't believe that 50% of us don't get it done!

Happy today because I got the all clear after a mammogram call back (just benign calcification) 5 days of over-thinking takes its toll. Sad for the other 2 ladies who did not have the same result  :'(  such a life changing day for them.

If you have a NQR store nearby, check out this weeks special, great if you own an ice cream machine! For me, I'm just making butter!

Nigella's meatballs and tomato sauce, so simple but always popular. Recipe from April 2012, I think it was just called Pasta with Meatballs.

Love the way you "cook" all the base ingredients together. Will be making these for sure, thanks for the recipe.

Obbie maybe you could help me, last few times I have poached eggs in the basket the whites just disintegrate and I am left with yolk only. I do the vinegar thing, the eggs are freshly laid, I follow EDC instructions

Thanks, Chris

A FB group suggestion came up on my page to join 'Bellini Addicts' so I thought I would to get some recipes. Had to stop reading as I was smirking too much. Every post was about how to avoid the motor burning out (when making sorbets!!!!!!!), how to fix things or how long to blend things (5 mins for something that takes my TMX 20 secs!).

And the dig at the fact that only people who have a TMX are rich (we are low income, have a HCC and thank goodness for the TMX otherwise we wouldn't be able to afford to eat decent food).

Anyway, I am going to get off the group, but I would recommend anyone deciding which one to buy to go an check it out.........
I started my thermo cooking experience with a Bellini and I joined the addicts page 6 mths ago to learn all about it.  Membership has skyrocketed in that time, and I have made some lovely friends through the page. Quite a few of us have seen the light and now are TMX owners, we do keep a low profile now as we have found any mention of thermomix does create a bit of a cat fight. I still cannot understand the jealousy, envy and general bitchiness that surrounds thermomix, after all, it is my choice, after lengthy research, to spend my $$ on what I want. We are also low income (recently retired) also HCC but I wanted a machine that would last a lifetime.  The Bellini certainly wasn't going to do that.

Hi everyone, have been lurking here for a few months, decided to jump out of the closet finally  ;D
Have owned my thermomix for 6 weeks, after previously having a Bellini for 6 months.
Do you ever get over the addiction for thermo cooking? I seriously have to stop myself raving to friends who just don't get it!
I lay awake at nights menu planning.
I love this forum for everyday basics as well as the wow factor recipes.
Looking forward to sharing some of my inventions

Tips and Tricks / Re: Cooking Mince in the TM.
« on: November 25, 2013, 06:53:59 am »
Brilliant idea, will have to try it myself.  It's been a long time since I made spag bol.  I wonder if she stirred it occasionally so that it didn't stay in a clump.  Looks great, thanks for finding it CC.
I usually stir the mince with a fork half way through, it helps to break up the big clumps. I often put some julienned zucchini in the basket with the meat too.
