News about Thermomix / Re: Self Sharpening Blades
« on: November 25, 2010, 10:19:56 am »
what Nay Nay said, and I will find out at our next meeting if the blades have a thermatic memory, honed by ice - which is the actual process.. BBL for now in our newsletter the specific note came as Please note that the blades ARE NOT self sharpening.

Just for those that promote this, TM have stated in recent correspondence that the TM31 blades are not self sharpening.

"90% of people in Australia don't know what a Thermomix is - Unless you are a chef" yeah right.
ACA plug was better but every bit helps.

if you are ever trying to figure out whether to use the big or the small remember that your TM31 is graduated on the inside, ie over 1LTR use a big one :)

My Tumeric coloured MC did fade over time after making Tikka PAste from the Indian Cook book (so did the matching stain on the bench) I use my yellowy MC with pride like I do my wrinkles - shows I have been around the block a few times ;)

You are all using your MC hole up hey?

Suggestions and Complaints / Re: Disapointed with my Thermo

all sounds positive, a recipe we go back to regularly is the Beef strog EDC, we have tweaked it by leaving out the 100ml wine, using 800grms of meat (both to reduce the liquid to solid ratio) and adding a dash (20 - 40ml) brandy.. oh yeah I am going to make this tonight now.

Hi Welcome,

Be sure to drop into the introduce yourself section for a proper welcome.

Depending where you live it can be hard to nail people down to demonstrations, but if you have time on your hands go for it- it is worth it. We sold 4 in our 60 days which is about average - but after I had mine at home I did not care how many I sold.

If you are the type of person that can come up with $1500 for your fridge or hot water system if it breaks down then go for it and whatever you do you will do. If you would have to shower with cold water until you saved for a HWS, then save your pennies then buy it and then become a consultant and start earning commissions straight away..

my 2 cents :) but each person to their own.

Chit Chat / Varoma Demo
« on: September 14, 2010, 05:23:38 pm »
Hi all,

Could I please have some feedback from the forum users on the following..

Have you seen a Varoma Demo?
What did you think of it?
How long did it run?
What improvements could be made, in your opinion?

I have just practiced the Varoma menu tonight and would like some feedback from the "receivers"

thanks

Rod

:)

Mine turned orange but think and tasty, I added some Parisian essence to brown my tomato paste (salt preserved tomatoes) to distinguish between the 2.
