As a matter of interest can someone tell me the price of Bananas there in the Supermarket, which are the produce of Australia, interested to know if they are being exported cheaper than we are being charged for here. Thank you for your help in advance if anybody can!

A couple of drops of Lavender Oil on your pillow either side, or pour drops into the bath. This sends my Husband out like a light, doesn't work for me, but worth a try maybe, just a thought, and if it doesn't work you can put it in the tumble dryer or the vac to make everything smell nice.
I have to say if I can't sleep I get up have a coffee and a cig, and go back to bed again, I know it's not fair.

Dam you Megan, look what you have started, just got a refund on my Microwave and bought a Pie Maker, not in use yet as my daughter is back from Uni and given me the flu.
But love the thread now I am in the loop.

Have the bag of goodies here in Hervey Bay but I notice we pay $3. Still love getting a bargain I fill up, cook something different and keep the dogs in fresh veggies.

Thank you for that, well it does seem that I will be getting a refund and looking for something else. Like you I wanted to use it for cooking rather than the large oven which is just two big for the two of us now. I shall look out for this.

I could see how that would put you off, hopefully the second demo will swing it for you.

I can't see why not, you can crush ice cubes to sharpen your blades, and I have also seen on Youtube somebody grinding sand, I wouldn't recommend that. Even so I am a newbie so wait until someone smarter and better looking comes along. Come on you good looking girls with the brains out there, it won't take long.

I know I am probably preaching to the choir but I hope everyone who uses ebay does use Paypal I know an awful lot of my daughters friends don't and they have been caught out and no hope of a refund but with Paypal you are insured, just thought I would throw that in the mix.

Your Hubby should be grateful you remembered, on my 19th Anniversary I arranged to go out with a girlfriend and asked my hubby if he could babysit, yes no problem with a smile, well that night I got ready, girlfriend arrived at the door with the Taxi I kissed the kids and hubby goodnight, hubby looking a bit strange, it was only the next day he informed me it was our Anniversary, so I asked him well why didn't you stop me, he said "I thought it was a joke".
Still going 23 years married 28 together! Glad you had a great night.

Hey Jo, and welcome, as an ex-pat but now a True Blue Aussie it's nice to see some food from home.
When we first arrived I used to dish up Toad in the Hole for the kids' friends, they were terrified as they thought I was serving up Cane Toads, well you should have seen their faces when I told them they were having Spotted Dick for afters!
Have fun!

Hi Delta, and welcome, I am so envious as I wish I had the Bimby when the kids were home, how many times do you wish you could just leave home when everyone wants to know whats for dinner and you haven't a clue. At least with the Bimby you have so many people on hand to help you out. As for the money I reckon if you are anything like me you will save that in Cookery Books, my hubby always used to say " how can you have so many cookery books and you never cook anything different," to which I used to reply " how come you have so many tools in the garage and the house still looks the same." You won't regret it.
