Great idea taking the thermomix. We've taken it a few times to hotels and either cooked outside if there is an entertaining area. If that's not possible I guess you need to weigh up your alternatives.
I've usually taken the Varoma for the all in one meals and it allowed me to steam breads, reheat food and do all in one meals to save time. As Bootobethin mention, I usually put in my luggage and stuffed it with other items to fill up the spaces. We would have a hearty breakfast of porridge or eggs, seasonal veggie's from the markets and fruit and nuts for smoothies or porridge is ideal. We usually make a chopped salad with eggs, steamed chicken (you can use the basket for this and probably use a variety of meats and seafood) for dinners or lunch depending on the day.
I hope you have a great time and get to enjoy some of the local products on offer.

Very yummy school holiday late breakfast. Made a double batch with strawberry vanilla jam. I'll be making these again. You're right banana is hardly noticeable.

I haven't been on the forum for ages and had forgotten how great everyone is and the useful hints/tips/recipes. Love the idea of this app. Thanks for sharing.

What a yummy soup. We had to make a few modifications. Used prawns and fish only. And used 750g fish broth that I'd made and 250g chicken broth. I also steamed some cabbage whilst the balls were steaming and served this in the soup. 3 out of 4 of us loved this. The other loved the broth but wasn't fussed on the balls and cabbage. There was Enough to serve the 4 of us for dinner.

Made this tonight as per the ingredients and instructions. Just forgot the lemon rind. Might try blitzing the lemon rind first next time, or do you think it might go a bitter during the cooking process? Heard the "yummy, yummy, mummy" response so I guess that's a thumbs up from everyone.

they are going from strength to strength. I've been listening to them in the car on the odd occasion I drive to work. It's a great way to get inspired over some new recipes.

Have made these a few times now. They are a favorite for our BBQ breakfast. I just put some batter in the small egg rings and BBQ on a medium flame. A quick flip to crunch the bubble side and all done. The BBQ Plate is a good size and I just bought heaps of egg rings from the op shop. Saves heaps of time and they are the erfect size for steamed eggs, bacon, tomato and spinach.

Thanks again for posting this. I keep getting asked about a soft white bread in the Thermomix and always refer friends to this post. It works every time. I now just need to be prepared and mix a 1/2 quantity of starter and once it's cooled in the bowl follow the rest of the recipe. Easy as...

Made these again for eggs benedict this morning for breakfast. Great recipe. I could put the dough in the fridge overnight and just let it come to room temp and roll and final rise in the morning. Saved a little bit of time and the Thermomix didn't wake everyone. We had visitors and everyone loved them. Will definately try a fruit version another morning.

Oh yum. I have some frozen plums and love plum sauce. Off to buy some fish sauce for my salad. Looks like I'll be using it for this as well.

My family also loves this take away meal substitute. Like others I use Parmesan. I also the bacon in the TM. I boil the kettle whilst making the sauce. The hot water goes into the TM bowl and I just cook spaghetti for 8 minutes. Less washing up.
