Introduce Yourself / Re: Just bought my thermie

Believe me it will pay for itself in so many ways, not just money but in better health.  With the demo just invite your friends, tell them there is no pressure and enjoy a lovely feed in good company.  My demonstrator knew that nobody else would be buying but people go away and think about it and may come back to her later.  She is actually doing us another demo on the Varoma tomorrow night.  The customer service and education is second to none.

Thanks for all your comments, have just started weightwatchers again so having to curb it a bit with the TMX desserts.  As I convert any weightwatchers recipes I will try and put the points values on here.  If anybody has any recipes they can recommend would be much appreciated.

Special Diets / Re: BARF Diet, anyone tried it? (for fur-kids)

I feed my dogs on raw chicken mince and whatever vegies I have left over zapped in the TMX.  They love it and I have to admit it certainly cuts down on the cleaning up.  If you think of it really dogs dont get there food cooked in the wild.  I do sometimes give them biscuits as well but mostly the raw chicken mince.  Biscuits become like red cordial to kids

I didnt know there was a right and wrong way either with the MC. I just now that I turn it open side up unless I am using the butterfly as it is easier to clean.

I do use a scrunched up tea towl to hold it down though when I am pureeing soups, just in case the hot liquid explodes.

Hi my name is Helen, from Perth WA.  I have had my machine now for around a month after a couple of years of thinking about it.  I have used it almost every day and I can honestly say it has made me want to cook.  Previously I used to joke that I didn't cook, but reheated.  My food bills are lower after the initial investment on all the lovely spices that I now regularly use, Hadn't used them for a good ten years.  I am eating so much more fresh produce and instead of throwing out whats left at the end of the week, I just make a soup for my lunches.  There is one downside though, and that is the weight I have put on making all the lovely deserts.  So any body got any Weightwatches recipes they have converted.
