if anyone has any tried and true recipes that they can share with me either on here or via message I would appreciate it. I'm starting my Christmas Hampers and would love to make some spiced salts, I just don't know how

Recipe Requests / Re: Coconut Flour« on: March 19, 2011, 09:06:17 am »
I've not used coconut flour at all, I'm curious though to see how things turn out and if it's something we'll all enjoy

Recipe Requests / Coconut Flour« on: March 19, 2011, 07:04:20 am »
Just curious if anyone has made their own Coconut Flour just by putting shredded coconut or desiccated coconut into the TMX and ground it to flour type consistency??
I'm considering doing this instead of buying the flour as it is really expensive. 7
Bread / Re: Varoma Bread« on: October 05, 2009, 11:11:01 pm »
This bread sure looks sensational. Has anyone tried to do it GF? If so any results? I'll give it a go in the next few weeks when I get some time to cook again.

brazen I'm doing it in a bread tin that is quite broad but a bit shallow. So I might try dropping the temp to 160 and then cooking for an hour?

I've made this twice now and it still sinks after taking it out of the oven. It tastes delish but to me it's rather disappointing to be so dense at the base.
OK so what am I doing wrong?? xo 10
Cakes / Re: Bimby Chocolate Cake« on: August 28, 2009, 03:02:01 am »
Thanks Bimby for this AWESOME recipe. It was my sweetheart's birthday yesterday, I made this recipe with White Wings GF SR flour and then made a strange sort of ganache topping. It was divine. It's going into my essential recipe collection that's for sure.

I made some delish Thai Chicken Burger patties which we had with an asian style salad. It is very hot here in Northern NSW atm. This was then followed by a scrumptious Strawberry Sorbet.
I am still in awe of the ease of this machine. 12
Non Food Recipes / Re: Washing Machine Goo (Detergent)« on: August 23, 2009, 03:32:25 am »
judydawn I honestly only put about 20 drops in. I'm not really that big on smelly clothing but a hint is just nice, this is my test case anyway
I've put in my diary when I made the soap and will see how long it lasts and if any buildup occurs etc. 13

Result of washing was very good. I put the essential oil into the goo mix with the last addition of water. I am very happy with the result.
Thanks for the easy recipe. 14

I made some this morning and am just doing the first load of washing as I type. I am very excited to see how this goes as I used to do the other type with the washing crystals and 9 litres of water years ago when I was a fresh and jubilant single parent *lol* how quickly we learn.
I put pink grapefruit essential oil in mine along with 100g of bicarb soda. Will tell you the results when it's done. 15
Questions? Technical Issues? The Survival Guide / Re: Mascarpone Cheese« on: August 22, 2009, 01:41:16 am »
I made it last week as per the book instructions. I waited until the mix had cooled, then poured the liquid into a muslin lined container, put it in the fridge. After a few hours I transferred the mascarpone (still in the muslin) onto a sieve over the container and in the morning it was perfect.
It tasted delicious and was far creamier than the shop bought stuff. I made a chocolate cheescake out of it.
