Meganjane I took my iPad on a trip down the Mekong and the wee VDOs and pics I took with it were brilliant for sending directly  by email to those who were interested. I  am not camera person at all but it  is fun to use probably because I never had a camera.  I have a friend in France at the moment who is sending me wee bits from the local markets and I am loving it.  She  has had some memorable meals she has photographed and shared. I am envious of your trip.

The USB port Frozzie mentioned is just a longer cord for charging  the iPad directly into a power point I think which is handy if the only power  point is near the floor.Just pick up a European universal  adaptor at the airport. Most hotels have one in a power point in the room. Sometimes two.

Frozzie will steer ya in the right direction.
