Hi Gretchen - thanks for reply - and for the hint for the failed rostis. I have a big bag in the freezer, but am running out of "Sunday's'' to use them up! We are moving home in less than 2 weeks, & despite having the TMX for a couple of weeks & experimenting heavily (hence a freezer full of food) - the removalists will be taking my freezer overnight so everything has to be eaten or otherwise disposed of! ALAS, hubby & I are on a PROPER weight reducing campaign through our local GP so we can't even be tempted to eat up & I'm reticent to offer extra food to my boys for fear of them eating too much. Perhaps I should invite several classmates of theirs around for an afternoon party, I'm sure they'll soon demolish it, especially the fete type goodies I've been testing out in the TMX. Will post a few pics if that happens, lol.
BIG FABRIC SLIPPERS, yes, I'll put that onto my goal list, thanks Kathryn - we have the same spelling apart from YOUR Kathryn starting with a K, mine with a C!
We attended a demo in Launceston at the beginning of the week, it went really well! I LOVED the expressions on the faces of the elderly ladies sitting in the front row, seeing the cream turn into butter & then into buttermilk! They were taken quite aback at the ease of preparation etc. for making cakes & jams.
Okay, must head back to the kitchen to use up some more ingredients.
P.S. Just used Wanda to whip up a little last minute dressing to finish off my Salt & Pepper Squid - very yummy!
