I had the same thought this week that I have start labelling after also pulling out something that wasn't what I thought this week.

I may not post much on this thread but it keeps me trying to do better with my food shopping

Same here.  Thawed out something I thought was stewed fruit, turned out to be spaghetti sauce.  :D

LOL - hope you realized before you put it on your icecream - or whatever?!

I recently found a few unidentifiable items recently too.  :-\  Then found the 'freezer' labels in the bottom of the freezer so managed to match some up, rest went in the bin (and there seemed to be more unlabelled items items than labels too.  :-[ )

Hate freezer labels that come off it the freezer... >:(

I label most things with a black marker these days. If they are in vacuum bags it's easy but on some containers it's not great but normally most markers come off with a little eucalyptus oil.

Good idea, Wonder.

Hate to admit this but...I haven't even got my vacuum sealer out of it's box yet. :-[

I use a marker pen too, Wonder, especially if I had packed in a snap lock bag. Use plastic tags for cooked food that are stored in Decor boxes. The yellow ones that you can write on using a pencil.

I found a lot of my sticky lables were all over the place in the freezer. I used markers for ziplock & vacuum bags but not tupperware.

My total this week is $132.59.

Average over 5 weeks is $131.95

Auss farm challenge starts, i will use pantry items & see what extra things I need for the 5 days. Day 1 is Friday, delivery day.

I'm loving the vacuum sealer!  I had to clear out the bottom drawer in the kitchen to make it easily accessible, and using it a lot.  Very impressed with the half avocado I sealed up a couple of days ago!

Finally got closer to my $140 goal this week - $144, including a bottle of wine :)

I am hoping it will be a bit easier and more consistent with the kids back at school/kindy and packing lunchboxes for all of us.

Well done jo & Astarra.

My $100 aus farmers arrived this morning, so we are on that for the next 5 days. Will be buying on top yoghurt, cream & a few other things - hopefully not much.

I went way over this week as I was out of so many items as you would expect on the small amount I've been living on for months now.

$165.79 it will be this week.

Mine was about $155 but I had spent $50 or so on fruit and veggies the day before.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Hally that looks great. Does the box come with recipe suggestions?
