You must be eating out of the freezer Judy. How do you get by without fruit and veg?

I spent around $32 at a farmers market for my last shop Michele and still have enough left to last me until my next planned shopping day.  I am hoping to have $0 shopping week this week seeing as I have got to this point.  Sunday is the beginning of my new week.  No freezer meals this week, cooked meals which have lasted us a couple of days each time.

Hally sounds like good value for quite a selection of meats -  and only costing you around $100/month! $25/week.  Salmon works out to around $14/kilo if you buy it whole and you get the frame and bones etc for stock.... although sometimes I just oven bake the leftover bits and use them to make fish cakes with mashed potato etc.

I've haven't shopped since Sunday and that was $16.45.
That gives me $80.00 to spend at the food and wine fair tomorrow.
I reckon you will spend all of that Michelle and some :D :D :D

Just smile sweetly and pretend great interest and you will be surprised what they will give you.

Lucky you Michelle! I'd love to go to the Food and Wine Show.

I've spent only $79 so far this week, so I'm pretty happy. I do have to get a few things tomorrow as I had a big baking day today and am now out of a few pantry basics. The $79 included a Pantry Pack of plain flour and some meat that was on special.

A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

I've spent $60 for this week so far - $40 left.

This Sunday is a quiet one as kids are busy with other family so won't have to cook up the usual storm. Dinner out last night, tonight, next Monday night and Tuesday and off to the shortest lunch festivities around the Yarra Valley tomorrow.   Don't need too many supplies this week :)

I have been to the supermarket and spent $45.20. I can't believe it- i was in and out in 20mins instead of at least double that, and I only needed two bags! I have just made the milo recipe for the first time and needed brazil nuts, so I spent $8.30 on half a kilo only to read the recipe and realise that it only needed 30g. Never mind, my DD spied them this morning and said yum, Brazil nuts!
I still need to go the the market on Sunday, but I'm doing well at $53.50.

I thought I was doing really well and only needed a few things today, but spent $60.71 at the stupidmarket! Mind you, 4kg of potatoes cost $9.98! Also bought a kilo of bacon @ $9.90.
