True and I really am not in a hurry to fill the freezer again. This has been a good challenge for us all but especially me. No need to go with the specials unless you need them . No need to shop for excess as I really am only 7 minutes from a store. No need for backup. I have really started to change my very bad habits.

Gert
Well I was going to fill up the pantry this week with things I'm getting low on and specials.
I have bought 5kg of flour, toothpaste and 2 tins of water chestnuts. Can't really see anything else I'm low on.
Probably some milk later in the week.

Ah shucks I could have given you a can of water chestnuts  I bought some time ago and cannot remember why. What do you do with them?
Maybe I should pack up all the things in my pantry labels  "What on  earth"  and distribute them in the goodie bags.

LOL - that's a good idea Gert. Your luggage would be quite heavy carrying tins though.
I put a tin in the San Choy Bow last night.

Tins and bottles and packets.  I think I am going a pantry item fast until I can see the back wall.

Is San Choy Bow the one you serve in lettuce leaves?

H now you have me working on my pantry. I have found two new packets of Chia seeds and Psyllium husks. Maybe Robyn can use them. I have not a clue.

H did you also tell me that you have fridge the same as mine?

Maybe we should have Weekend get together and just exchange food from one pantry to another or put it all out and charge 50 cents a thing for charity.

Gert, yes I have the same fridge, we love it. Had it 2 1/2 years now. Good work on the pantry, mine does seem less cluttered. I still have 7 tins of tomatoes, havent bought any since the start & must have used 7 or 8, just shows you what a hoarder I am.

Today, i have just weighed my cooked silverside. I have just over 850g left. So it fills  2 containers. Looking at new ideas for silverside.

Any suggestions? I have pasta dishes, pies, fritters, any other deas.

Oh golly gosh, that is a lot of silverside Hallly :o
Could you put it on homemade pizza? Sandwiches? Chop some up and have in tacos? Slice it and put layers in a potato bake?
