MC = measuring cup - ie you leave the cup out of the lid so the steam can escape. Soft speed reverse - press the reverse button and turn the speed dial to the Spoon icon - before you get to no 1; this prevents the blades from cutting the meat and vegetables any further. If you used the blades on normal direction you would probably end up with curry soup..

Soft speed is the second spot on the speed dial
between the
and 1. MC out means - don't put the Measuring Cup (MC) in the hole in the lid - allow steam to escape.
DOH - didn't see that there was a second page !!!!! Hope she gets it now.

Ooh, curried mince is a staple here so I'm glad to have a TMX version to try

Very nice. Kids both had seconds and the wife said "it's a keeper".
I added zucchini, mushrooms and capsicum as well. Just love how it ends up still textured but tiny so the kids just think it's mince.

Thanks Judy......kids wolfed your dish down tonight!
I also added mushroom, capsicum and used 3 tablespoons of leggos (garlic/herb) pizza sauce, instead of the tomato paste.

Thanks for posting the photo maddy, I think you can add anything to this recipe. Seems a popular one with the kids.

I'm all for tricking the kids into eating veggies!
We had some sauce left, so I will freeze it and use it as a topping for whole baked potatoes.

Great pic Maddy. Good to see that you are managing to fool the kids into eating more veg.

This was delicious! Mine was very sloppy, even though I used less water
. But, I'll definitely make it again, thanks JD!

Thanks MJ. Because of your comments I have revisited this recipe today. Minced 500g topside steak (didn't do it as finely as shop bought mince), added less water (200g) and added 210g mixture of finely diced zucchini and sliced beans at the same time as the water and other ingredients. These days I think my TMX is a little tired and hardly moves the food on soft speed so I tend to use speed 1 or even 2 at times. Left the MC on for
most
of the cooking once the water was added seeing as how I had reduced it and it didn't need to evaporate. It ended up thick enough for us over rice or with mashed potatoes.
