Good morning girls, I hope the children didn't wake you too early this morning.  Nice and quiet here, no kids in our street at all.
Enjoy a lovely Christmas Day whatever you're doing and try not to eat too much, your body won't thank you for overindulging.

I just had to drop a note on here about my Xmas gifts.

I recently had my small Swiss Army Knife confiscated by security as I was going through the airport.  It was a gift from DH 20 odd years ago and it had traveled around the world with me without any problems, but I had forgotten it was in my bag and it was taken away.  I decided DH would just HAVE to get me a replacement for Xmas so I went out last weekend and bought one.  I dutifully opened my Xmas parcel this morning to find my nice new S.A. knife.  I then opened my next box from DH and, what should be in there, but another S.A. knife. He had done something he had never done before - got onto Google by himself (he hates computers so that was amazingly adventurous of him), found a local supplier and gone into the city to buy me my Xmas knife (he also hates an loathes having to go into the city) so, all in all, he was well out of his comfort zone and I was really impressed, he did so well.

To cap it all off, he also bought me a lovely necklace from a fair trade shop just around the corner from us.  As the present opening progressed I got to my parcel from my SIL in Inverness, Scotland and, what should be in there but an exact copy of my necklace from DH - exact in every respect, even down to the producer's label!

Poor DH, he was feeling a little dejected, but he'll be fine!

Oh Marina, what bad luck for your DH.  Don't be surprised if he gives up on buying anymore Christmas presents for you, I wouldn't blame him in the least after that very special effort he made.  Whatever are you going to do with 2 of everything?

Christmas lunch is over and the last of the family left about 20 mins ago.   Just sitting down now having a cuppa in the peace and quiet.  I love them all to bits but it gets a bit noisy with them all here :D

Good morning DJ.My turkey is in the oven too ;D
Walked Chance early and said Merry Christmas to a couple of dog walkers. :D It was sooooo quiet walking, only the occasional hum of traffic in the distance.

We are all sitting down after a not too hectic day. MIL came for lunch. DH picked her up and took her back early evening. She is becoming so frail it is sad. She has difficulty cutting her food up and also walking. She enjoyed her day though.

CC And D J and also Yvette I hope you have lovely days.
